Superb staff made it special

Easy to find and super clean place. The guy at the reception/bar was beyond helpful, really friendly! Room was nice, beds were incredible, and air con worked like a charm. It was a bummer the restaurant was closed, but we ordered takeout and he even set up a dining area for us. Minor hiccup, but no big deal.

I had a great stay here and appreciated the comfy bed and the helpful staff who were always ready to assist, making my exploration of nearby attractions like fairburn ings nature reserve just a short drive away and offering peaceful strolls through beautiful park views. it's truly a fantastic spot for weekend wanderers like myself.

i had a wonderful stay at best western! the room was spacious and super comfy, perfect for me and my two large dogs with enough space for their crates. i loved the tea and coffee tray, which was stocked with plenty of drinks and biscuits. surprisingly, even though it’s just off a busy main road, the room was really quiet, making for a restful night. the breakfast was decent, too!

A stay here was highlighted by a stunning, spacious room with a spotless bathroom and unexpected TV speakers for a bit of fun. The food was a real highlight. the fish and chips were generous and satisfying, while the breakfast was surprisingly delightful. there were a few minor downsides, such as a delay in room service during peak hours and some noise from traffic outside.

Just a smart choice for a lightning trip in South Milford with attractive and competitive value for money. Loved the friendly reception staff who made me feel welcome right from the start. Bring your own coffee for breakfast. the options weren't great.

I was supper impressed at check in, they even helped my mam by changing our room so she didn’t have to struggle up stairs, and the food in the bar was spot on for me. The room was very good, had underfloor heating in the bathroom, and we even had a lovely breakfast that let us go on the road just after 7am.

It wasn't cheap but still acceptable.

We booked a family stay and loved our clean, comfortable room. The kids had a blast during our visit to York, enjoying the many museums and the iconic York Minster. The staff was friendly and took a moment to chat with my grandchild, making it a memorable experience.

In my wife’s opinion, there could be a designated play area for kids near the dining area.

The reception team were absolutely amazing! Just a bit noisy with the fire doors, but overall a great experience! 😊

Room was super spacious and comfy. Had all the essentials like a fridge, tea/coffee maker, and a hairdryer. The bathroom featured a roll-in shower and underfloor heating. Easy access to the ground floor for my elderly family member. Breakfast was great with a good variety. Solid location made traveling easy.

I found the hotel surprisingly good with upgraded rooms featuring heated mirrors and underfloor heating, making my stay quite comfortable and enjoyable after a day of exploring the area, which is close to RSPB Fairburn Ings nature reserve and the intriguing Castleford Bridge just a short drive away.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, with tasty breakfast providing comforting options like a lovely cooked meal and basic continental items. additionally, the hotel has excellent transport links to nearby attractions like Leeds and York.
